I wanted to find something I could do that would honor Curren in a way that seemed best and help me heal as well. His love of the cows was special. He always wanted to go to the cows, he would just give me a great big “Moo”, he did that when he wanted to go see “Curren’s cows”.
Curren’s Cows is a scholarship program that is committed to helping youth who have a love of cattle and desire to raise a beef breeding heifer project but do not have the financial means to do so on their own. The program will provide the recipient with an animal, feed, and the opportunity to care for and exhibit the animal at several shows as well as guidance and support.
My sons raised animal projects for 4-H and the life lessons they learned were priceless; hard work, responsibility, animal husbandry, sacrifice, economics and friendships they made through the years have shaped who they are today. Our goal is to give others who cannot do it on their own those same opportunities.
